Romanian LPS/TIP2 for
Cugir PSL rifle (also called FPK Dragunov)
This a variation of the PSO-1 optic and can
typically be found very inexpensively. Don't let the
price fool you though, this is a well built and highly
effective optic like the PSO it was derived from.
The LPS has a built in amber coating to reduce
eyestrain and was originally illuminated by Radium gas
but this appears to have been removed prior to import
into the US. It is not clear if they can be relit
Here is a copy of a thread from the AKFiles where
one owner took the LPS apart to get it illuminated
again.
It is possible to remove the base of the LPS and replace it with an AK mount. This makes it a very cost effective 4x optic for most any AK
LPS with base swapped to MTK83 AK mount, shown on
